Financial and Tax Law of Afghanistan
Financial and tax law is an important area of public law that regulates the financial relationships between the state and individuals and legal entities. In Afghanistan, this field includes rules concerning the imposition and collection of taxes, the determination of tax obligations, tax administration, public revenues, government expenditures, customs, and other public financial resources. The Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan has issued and published a range of laws and regulations in this area, including the Income Tax Law, Tax Administration Law, Value Added Tax Law, Public Finance and Expenditure Law, and Customs Law. The Income Tax Law also defines tax as a compulsory payment imposed on individuals and legal entities to finance the government and support social welfare.
